This section of the website is a kind of "warehouse" or "parking lot" for
some of the content that was once "front and center" on the Cheshire
Lutheran Church website. Over time, the immediacy of some of these
pages has decreased, but their importance to us as a community still
continues. It is with that thought that these pages are Archived here.
Most of them should work just fine, but you may encounter a broken link,
a missing graphic, or a lack of navigation from time to time. Not to
worry--just persevere. We think you'll agree that these pages are a
wonderful time capsule of some of Cheshire Lutheran's biggest events.
- 50th Anniversary Celebration.
In 2006, Cheshire Lutheran celebrated its 50th Anniversary as a
congregation. It was a year filled with special events and grateful
acknowledgements of all those who have paved the way for us today.
You will find pages that list all the past Presidents of the Church
Council, as well as all the founding members of CLC. One of the
highlights of our 50th Anniversary Celebration was the commissioning of a
hymn to be written expressly for Cheshire Lutheran. While it is
included as part of the Music portion of this web
site today, it was first introduced during the 50th Celebration.
- Building Project.
The groundbreaking for our renovation and expansion project was held on
June 3, 2007. The project includes building a preschool wing, a large
library/meeting room, a new youth room, an expanded suite of church
offices, and an enlarged altar guild room; updating the parish hall, the
kitchen, the carpeting and flooring, and the exterior siding and windows;
reconstructing the upper parking lot and the exterior walkways; and
installing air-conditioning in the sanctuary. Most of the work had been
completed by February 2008. The dedication is planned for June 2008.
