Bible Study Returns! On Feb 7 at 7:00 the Tuesday evening Bible Study
will begin. We look forward to having you join us in our study of God’s word and
topics concerning our faith. Come and be with us for this time of fellowship.
CLCWomen’s Retreat - Ladies, treat yourselves to a gift by signing up for
the CLCW Women’s Retreat, Saturday May 26th - 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. A sign up
sheet is located on the bulletin board in the hallway. It will once again be
held at Our Lady of Calvary Retreat Center, Farmington, CT. Retreat
registration fee: $20 per person includes lunch. The subject of this year’s
retreat will be a discussion of “The Ultimate Gift”, by Jim Stovall. “When you
have concluded reading The Ultimate Gift and have begun in earnest your life’s
journey, my fervent hope is that you will share The Ultimate Gift with friends,
family and the special people in your world who make your life’s journey
priceless.” Jim Stovall. Please make your check for the registration fee of
$20.00 payable to CLCW. Kindly place it in the box labeled CLCW RETREAT, which
will be located on the counter outside the church office or give it to Vicki by
Sunday May 20th. If you have any questions, please contact Vicki DePaolo,
203-697-0810.
All are welcome to join us every Sunday between the 8:00 service and
Bible Study as we gather for fellowship and coffee. Bringing a baked good item
to share is not required, but always welcomed.
Kids Bulletins (for ages 3-6 & 7-12) are always available here on the
narthex table along with our regular Sunday Service bulletins. They are always
linked with the day’s Scripture readings. Kids - bring your own pencils.
Volunteers Needed to deliver baby items for the Baskets of Love program.
If you are able and would like to deliver items, there are a few months towards
the end of the year that are in need of volunteers. Please consider helping by
signing up on the bulletin board.
Baskets of Love - our ongoing ministry of collecting “gently used” or new
baby clothes, blankets, toys, disposable diapers, etc. for babies 0-12 months
benefit new mothers who have no means to support a newborn child. Items
purchased new or from the Good Will store, etc. can be placed in the basinet
located in the hallway. Waterbury hospitals are in great need of this ministry
and mothers are very appreciative!
Helping Hands - If you would like to volunteer as a member of the helping
hands committee by making a meal for someone who is in need, please call
Christine Mason so that we may call upon you when the need arises for your
assistance.
