Altar Flowers this morning are in celebration of the marriage of
Heather Weiland and Michael Wirkus held here yesterday, July 24.
Please Join Us after this morning’s service for refreshments and
fellowship. Thank you to the Nowak’s for serving this morning.
Faith & Family Day with the New Britain Rock Cats! Sign up on the
bulletin board if you would like to join us at the game on Sunday, August 29.
Cost is $25 and includes an all you can eat picnic before the game, tickets
behind home plate and kids under 12 receive a free baseball! Call Joe for
further information.
Sunday School Teachers are needed. Please sign up on the sheet located on
the Sunday School bulletin board located above the hallway countertop.
Volunteers are Needed to serve refreshments. Please sign up on the
bulletin board if you are willing to help one or two Sundays this summer. The
lemonade/iced tea is pre-made - just set up a table outside, pour the drinks and
clean up.
Sunday School! If you have a child who will be four by the end of the
year or an older child not yet enrolled and would like him/her to attend our
Sunday School starting this fall, please call the church office to register.
Little Cherubs Christian Preschool - registration for the 2010-2011
school year are being accepted. If you would like to enroll your preschooler,
please pick up an informational brochure and registration packet from the
hallway countertop. If you would like to speak to someone about our program,
please leave a message on the school’s phone (203-272-1150) and Marilyn Tucker,
the Director of the school, will return your call.
Free Concert on the Lawn, Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 585 South St (Rt
75), Suffield, CT. Concert of contemporary Christian music will be held on
Thursday, August 12 from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Music will be provided by Mr. Exaudio.
Bring lawn chair and blankets. Should it rain, the concert will be held in the
church. A donation of a canned good is requested to help restock the local food
pantries.
Summer Worship in Maine - The New England District - LCMS will be
offering Worship Services in York Harbor, Maine, during the summer vacation
season of June 27 through August 29, 2010. If you vacation in southern Maine and
would be interested in attending, e-mail us at pastor@emmauslutheranmission.org
