Little Cherubs Mission Statement
Little Cherubs Christian Preschool is a community whose mission is to share the love of Christ with preschoolers from Cheshire and the surrounding communities, providing those entrusted to her care with a sound Christian curriculum and quality learning opportunities which will assist parents in the nurturing of their child’s spiritual, intellectual, social, physical and emotional growth and development.

Welcome to the home of Little Cherubs Christian Preschool on the internet. Please read on to learn about the programs and offerings we have available, read our mission statement, and see if our program may be right for your child. Enrichment Classes -- Open to the public!

Science Enrichment class is held Monday afternoons from 12:00-1:30 and is open to all 4 year old children (students and non-students).  If you would like your 4 year old to attend, call the Director (Marilyn Tucker) at 203-272-1150 or email her at   In this photo, 4 year olds experiment with warm milk and vinegar to make a polymer with instructor Debi Bertenshaw.

Local artist Kate Themel presents Art Enrichment Class to 3 & 4 year olds each Tuesday from 12:30 - 1:30.  We are very excited to be able to share Kate's artistic gifts with the children in this way.   Feel free to call and schedule your own "Open House" on one of these days to get a great feel for the school.  If you would like to know more about Kate Themel and her art, visit her website at www.square-one-design.com.  A sample of the projects are listed below:

  • “The Light Inside” (Making tea light candle holders). Lesson: People look different on the outside but we all have the light of God inside
  • “Hide and Seek Drawing” (Crayon rubbings). Lesson: Having faith in something we can’t see
  • “There’s No One Else Exactly Like Me” (Making blended crayon buttons). Lesson: Finding our own identity, differences, what makes us special
  • “What is in our Hearts” (Heart shaped cards). Lesson: Keeping positive thoughts, hope, love in our hearts
  • “Naming the Animals” (paper bag puppet animals). Lesson: Story of the 6th day of creation, Adam naming the animals
  • “New Life” (Handprint butterflies). Lesson: Transformation, new life
  • “A Big Catch of Fish” (Paper plate fish). Lesson: Story of Jesus and the fishermen (John 21)
  • “40 days of Rain” (Paper towel roll rain-sticks). Lesson: Story of Noah’s ark
